I never watched Dawson's Creek back when Katie broke onto the scene. I'm not much of the yuppie type and found it refreshing when I noticed how Katie was pulling away from the silver spoon wannabee's and became more of a girl next door that won homecoming. Oh, she also made a movie called The Gift, which shows what she was hiding under her angora sweaters. See for yourself...
